PLN post # 2 - My Feelings

It is my belief that the adoption process should be more easily accesable. All the red tape only succeeds in keeping children from loving homes, and once that cycle has started it can't be reversed. Once children reach a certain age they are no longer persued by adoptive parents, who in most cases want to raise a child from birth so they can leave their own mark on the infant. It is important to find a family that is a good match, but adoption agencies tend to overstep their boundaries, looking for only the perfect parents to adopt. For this reason more and more kids are ending up in foster homes.
